Short Census - Classical Rhetoric in the Middle Ages: The Medieval Rhetors and Their Art 400–1300, with Manuscript Survey to 1500 CE

<div><p>The documents in this <i>Short Census</i> (on-line) are a list of medieval manuscripts around the world that contain evidence to show that medieval scholars knew and used the <i>De inventione</i> of Cicero and the Anonymous <i>Rhetorica ad Herennium</i>.</p> These manuscripts also in many cases actually contain those two texts, or one of them. There is an introduction also that discusses this sort of evidence.<br></div>
