War, Law and Humanity - an Interview with James Crossland

In this interview, Senior Lecturer in International History James Crossland (Liverpool John Moores University) reflects on the argument, the historiographical intervention and the motivation behind his monograph War, Law and Humanity: The Campaign to Control Warfare, 1853-1914 (London: Bloomsbury Press, 2018). The interview supplements Assistant Professor Benjamin Coates’ (Wake Forest University) review of the book in issue 1.2 of Diplomatica.
